Life gets busy. It gets busy and I don’t write, even though I wish I was writing. Many years ago a did a “Daily Photo” practice on whatever blog I was writing on at the time. I liked that it gave me a specific daily goal. I didn’t need a perfect, complete blog post. I just needed to capture a moment from the day, a thought, and make the space to write it down.
So I’m trying it again. And if it doesn’t work, I’ll try something different. Because that’s what you do, right? You do the thing that you want to do. You carve out the space and you do the work and you make it happen. And when you fail, you try again.
So here’s my first daily photo, a lazy Saturday morning, the kids thrilled to have daddy home to play with and me plugging away at homework, trying to get as much done as I can before we leave on our trip next week. I’m excited to head out on an adventure with my people, but I also love, love these lazy, ordinary days at home.
